Milwaukee ER doctor Amy Hummel’s ‘Jeopardy!’ winning streak has ended. But, she’ll be back for future ‘Tournament of Champions.’

After winning five games and nearly $101,000, Amy Hummel’s “Jeopardy!” journey has come to an end — for now.

The Milwaukee ER doctor will be returning for a future “Tournament of Champions.”

Following the “Jeopardy!” round on Wednesday’s episode, Hummel was in third place, according to The Jeopardy! Fan website.

She had a pair of chances to make a comeback in Double “Jeopardy!” But, a pair of incorrect Daily Doubles dropped her out of contention.

Heading into the Final “Jeopardy!” round, Hummel was in last place with $3,600. Weckiai Rannila, an Albuquerque engineer, had more than triple that, with $11,400. And, Nils Cousin, an attorney from Washington, D.C., had $6,400, according to a clip the show shared on YouTube.

The Final “Jeopardy!” clue was: On Nov. 15, 1961, JFK suspended the eight-hour workday at this agency, saying its work needed to proceed “with all possible speed.”

The correct response was: “What is NASA?”

Answering “What is the CIA?” and wagering $3,599, Hummel ended the game with $1. Cousin guessed the same wrong answer and wagered $4,000, which left him with $2,400.

Rannila answered “What is NORAD?” — also incorrect. Wagering $1,401, Rannila finished the game with $9,999 and became the new champ.

What will Hummel do with her six-figure winnings? “A large chunk” will go toward her student-loan balance, she told producer Sarah Foss in a YouTube video the show posted earlier this week. Hummel also planned to donate some and go on a nice trip.

How Amy Hummel will prep for ‘Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions’

Having not seen “Tournament of Champions” before, Foss asked Hummel what she’ll be doing to study for it.

Hummel said she’ll probably watch some prior “Tournament of Champions” and go through her 300,000-question flashcard deck, which she had previously been doing.

According to the show’s website, Hummel is one of three contestants eligible for the next “ToC” so far.
