Recently, Jeopardy! fans saw a glimpse of Ken Jennings’ dirty mind. Undeniably, the host likes a good joke, but sometimes he tows the “inappropriate” line with his humor.
Ken Jennings Loves Cracking Jokes
While the current host of Jeopardy!, Ken Jennings, is always ready for a good practical joke, not everyone enjoys his dark humor. However, part of his charisma is centric on the fact he loves to insert humor into his work. But Ken is getting to experience what it is like to be on the receiving end of a competitor’s humor in the hosting position. Without a doubt, Ken’s time on the show as a player resulted in many quipping retorts that Alex Trebek had to quickly navigate on the spot. As fans are binging the old episodes of Ken competing, they see several “jewels” from Alex and Ken’s interactions.
Jeopardy! Ken Jennings Reveals His Dirty Mind
Although Ken Jennings has been known to crack a few naughty jokes here and there, it is even more apparent in his 74-day winning streak. Now that the old shows can be fully viewed on PlutoTV for free, many of Ken’s clips are resurfacing more frequently. In a Reddit feed, one user shows off Ken revealing his dirty mind. In the clip, the clue reads, “This term for a long-handed gardening tool can also mean an immoral pleasure seeker.” Swiftly, Ken buzzes with his answer, “What’s a hoe?” Shocked by the response, Alex abruptly says, “No.”
Then, there was an awkward pause where Ken slyly smiled recognizing the boyish humor he unveiled. Furthermore, Alex lets out two overstated, “Whoahs!” as he scrambles past the sophomoric retort. Regrouping, Alex says, “They teach you that in school in Utah, huh?” But another contestant moves the show along by buzzing in with the correct answer, “What’s a rake?”
- One user says, “In Ken’s recollection of this moment, I believe he said the other contestant that answered, Al, told him after that he actually was going to answer ‘hoe’ if Ken hadn’t and was glad Ken took the heat for it instead.”
Fans Think Ken Jennings Was Right
While Ken Jennings’ answer was a funny interaction, many Jeopardy! fans had plenty to say about it. Several fans enjoy the laughable response, but more than that they think he should be “correct.”
- “What I love about this moment is Ken’s mischievous grin. He knew he was wrong, but he couldn’t not say it.”
- “I still think the answer should’ve been accepted. While it wasn’t what they were looking for, it’s accurate!”
- “For close to two decades now I’ve wanted to know how the judges considered this a wrong response!”
- “Alex’s response is arguably funnier.”
- “Love this!”
- “One the funniest responses ever.”
