General Hospital spoilers report Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is thought by most who know him to be an upstanding guy who doesn’t keep secrets. He’s an open book, that guy. He believes in doing what is right even when no one is looking, but we’re seeing a different side to Dante lately that his friends and family haven’t gleaned much about.
He’s on board with helping Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) set a trap for the sniper whom they presume tried to take her life — even if he has to do it off the books and risk his job with the PCPD in the process. He’s hiding the truth about his criminal past as a minor and letting Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) continue to cover for him. He’s refraining from telling Mac Scorpio (John J. York) the truth — that he is Cody’s father. But most of all, he’s not telling anyone about how he really feels since losing Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan).

Dante hasn’t forgotten the formative years of his youth spent with Cody getting into trouble. It was the last time he really went against his own better instincts and screwed up in a major way he had control over. In fact, much of the brainwashing by the WSB and effects it had on him may have triggered much of the guilt he felt over letting Cody take the rap for a crime he committed when he was still underage. Now, having Cody around has led Dante to dwell a bit too much on his past and worry that it could come out if he doesn’t keep Cody happy.

Cody isn’t just hiding Dante’s secret, but he’s got a pretty big one of his own that Dante is now carrying around like unwanted baggage. Mac Scorpio (John J. York) is Cody’s dad — and he has no idea. Cody isn’t interested in Mac learning the truth. Not only does he claim he’s not worthy of a father like Mac, but he’s shooting for a $10 Million payoff from the WSB that would be botched badly if word got out that Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia) isn’t his dad.

We just saw Dante take Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) to visit Lulu, and parting ways with her as he relayed how much he missed her planted a seed of hope in the hearts of fans everywhere. Word on the street is Dante is soon going to let it slip to Cody that he’s still carrying a torch for Lulu but expects that she’s never going to wake up. So, he isn’t holding back when it comes to sharing his life with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). But how might Sam feel about that truth if Cody were to share it with her?
