What Happened To Mark Maher After Married At First Sight Season 14?
Mark Maher, AKA, Mark The Shark’s Married at First Sight journey was featured in season 14, and it’s time for an update on his current life. Mark married Lindsey Georgoulis in season 14, which took place in Boston, Massachusetts. Four other couples got married to a stranger in season 14: Katina Goode and Olajuwon Dickerson, Jasmina Outar and Michael Morency, Alyssa Ellman and Chris Collette, and Noi Phommasak and Steve Moy. It was a highly entertaining season, but it had little success in providing long-lasting couples.
The season got off to a rocky start after “good person” Alyssa was immediately not attracted to her new husband. She proceeded to make waves by saying she was “robbed” of the experience because the experts didn’t give her what she wanted. Alyssa and Chris divorced 12 days after saying I do, making it the shortest marriage in Married at First Sight history. The other four couples said yes to each other on Decision Day despite each having glaring issues. Only Katina and Olajuwon are together today, and even they have broken up at least twice.
Mark & Lindsey’s MAFS Journey
Lindsey went into the experience open about marrying someone of any race or religion, and this was Mark’s second time applying for the show after not getting chosen in Married at First Sight season 6, which also took place in Boston. Lindsey had too much to drink before the wedding and was overly boisterous during the ceremony, but Mark didn’t seem to mind. The pair had a lot in common at first, and appreciated each other in the beginning. However, things went down hill after Lindsey argued with Olajuwon on the plane to the honeymoon.
Lindsey got annoyed with Mark trying to take things slower and rudely called him out on the honeymoon after they had consummated the marriage. From there, their communication broke down, and they never seemed to get on the same page. Lindsey would say a lot of things out of spite and start arguments with Mark over what she perceived as his shortcomings or mismatch of their energy. One particular fight they got into was over the way Lindsey spoke to Katina during a bowling alley group date (Lifetime.)
Things turned around after Lindsey helped Mark clean his bedbug apartment and comforted him when his beloved cat died. Because of that closeness they formed, they decided to continue in their marriage after Decision Day. However, at the Reunion, they revealed their marriage only lasted a week after Decision Day. Lindsey revealed she had moved to California in the time in between and was living her best life.
Mark Has Two Businesses
Mark has built himself up since Married at First Sight season 14, and has been capitalizing on his fame. After working in management for Chick-Fil-A on the show, Mark has become a business owner. He has a watch brand called Switch Ups, and also a clothing company named after Mark The Shark image. Fans can buy a variety of clothing options under his brand, and his watches are customizable.
Is Mark Dating Anyone?
Mark is active on Instagram where he often posts meaningful quotes with captions in his feelings. In several such posts, Mark allude to his single status, and his desire to find someone worthy and compatible with him.
“I want someone to build with Not chill with. Businesses, Houses, New ventures and adventures. Let’s play monopoly and get to the boardwalk together,” one of the quotes Mark shared read.
Outside of his dating woes, Mark has had some sad times. He lost another one of his beloved cats in 2023, and also lost his grandma in 2022. Mark does seem to be moving forward and consoling himself with MAFS fan support and seems to find comfort with the quotes he shares.
Are Mark & Lindsey On Good Terms?
Married at First Sight’s Mark and Lindsey don’t appear to be in each other’s lives in any capacity anymore. Lindsey got engaged in 2024 and is still living in California. Lindsey is also not on Instagram anymore but does maintain a Facebook, where she showcases her new long hair and future husband.
