90 Day: The Last Resort star Kalani Faagata started her 90 Day Fiancé journey with Asuelu Pulaa in season 6, but a lot has happened since then. Kalani was 29 years old when she met the 23-year-old Asuelu in Samoa during a vacation. Kalani had lost her virginity to Asuelu, and a pregnancy led to her deciding to bring Asuelu to America. Their baby was already five months old when Asuelu arrived in the U.S. on a K-1 visa. Kalani found out she was pregnant again right before their wedding.
Kalani complained about Asuelu not taking responsibility in their marriage. Moreover, Asuelu’s family demanded money from Kalani, putting a strain on the couple’s relationship. Asuelu was never serious about being a father or a husband. He even put the kids’ lives in danger on more than one occasion. He was oblivious to Kalani’s feelings and how his behavior was affecting their relationship. Kalani opened up about Asuelu’s cheating habit during the first episode itself. Kalani admitted that her 90 Day Fiancé husband had cheated on her during his trip to Samoa. Asuelu had gone to his country to meet his family, but he kept telling everyone that he was single. Kalani was on a FaceTime call with Asuelu when she found out about his infidelity. Asuelu stuck his tongue out, and it was “white.” Kalani realized that Asuelu had a yeast infection. He said he contracted it from a kiss but later confessed he’d received oral s*x from someone.
“Then he came home and I told him to please tell me the full truth,” Kalani continued. “Then he disclosed that someone had offered to give him a b*****b, and he accepted it.”
Kalani told Asuelu that their marriage was “a wrap,” but Asuelu offered her a “hall pass.” It meant that Kalani could go kiss someone else if she wanted to. Asuelu had been unfaithful towards Kalani throughout their relationship. It took a while for Kalani to talk about the level of Asuelu’s infidelity. She did it during a different therapy session. Kalani said that Asuelu had cheated on her after they first met. However, by the time she found out, she was already pregnant with their first baby. Kalani was also working on Asuelu’s visa by that time to bring him to the U.S. She didn’t want her father to find out and wanted Asuelu to get along with him. She did everything she could to protect Asuelu.

Kalani said that Asuelu stopped cheating once he came to the U.S. However, he soon started online cheated. Kalani and Asuelu were supposed to have a commitment ceremony on the show where they would decide if they wanted to continue the relationship. Meanwhile, Kalani had already made her choice. She went missing from the resort and Asuelu started panicking that he couldn’t find her anywhere. When Kalani returned she said she had spent the night with her “hall pass guy” who’d flown to Florida to meet her. Kalani called an emergency therapy session to tell Asuelu she had hooked up with Dallas and that she wanted to divorce Asuelu.
“The sooner we divorce, the better for the kids,” Kalani said to the cameras.

Kalani confirmed she was in a relationship with the “hall pass guy” in November 2023. She had waited until the 90 Day: The Last Resort finale to announce the exciting news to her fans. Kalani posted a picture of a shirtless Dallas emerging from the ocean with his back to the camera. She was still not ready to show his face to viewers. Kalani captioned the Instagram Story, “I waited a year for this.” She also made Dallas’ Instagram account public by tagging him. Her caption confirmed that Kalani had met Dallas in November 2022.
Kalani Shocked Fans With Baby News
By now, Kalani has developed a habit of shocking her fans with her life updates. After confirming that she had been dating someone secretly for an entire year, Kalani took to Instagram in June 2024 to reveal they’d welcomed their first child together. She had expertly managed to hide her pregnancy for nine months despite her reality TV fame. Kalani later revealed that she had been pregnant while she filmed the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 5 Tell All in New York City. Kalani revealed filming was difficult because she was “super nauseous and trying to hide it.”
Kalani Revealed What Her Baby’s Name Means
While Kalani had shared photos of her baby daughter with fans on social media in June 2024, she had yet to reveal her newborn’s name. Kalani did it a month later, in July 2024. She posted a new photo of the baby with a moon and a bee emoji and a different one with a sign reading, “Masina Bee.” She explained that Masina is a girl’s name of Samoan origin and that it means “moon” and that “Bee” was her sister Kolini Faagata’s nickname and Kalani’s mother’s “favorite creature.”
Dallas Has Hinted At Engagement With Kalani
Kalani still hasn’t posted a proper photo with her boyfriend where Dallas’ face is visible. However, it seems she might have some good news about Dallas to share with 90 Day: The Last Resort fans soon. March 2024, Dallas shared an Instagram Reel showing a dish of traditional Samoan food and captioned it, “When I wake up in the AM and I see a plate right in front of me … remind [me] again what’s your ring size?” It remains to be seen if Kalani and her “hall pass guy” have already gotten engaged after teasing their followers.
