Wonder if Lulu Spencer will finally wake up from her coma and come back to the family who loves and needs her on the ABC daytime drama. Currently on GH, Lulu Spencer still remains comatose in a long-term care facility. Fans may recall that she suffered massive injuries from the explosion at the Floating Rib Restaurant four years ago. Thankfully, she wasn’t killed off, but she’s been gone far longer than anyone anticipated.
No doubt, many fans want her to reunite with Dante Falconeri on General Hospital. It seemed we were getting close when she admitted to her bestie, Maxie Jones, that she still loved him and had not completely moved on. But sadly, right as she was about to admit her feelings to Dante, she collapsed and has been comatose ever since. But now, there’s a chance she’ll come out of it and get the chance to tell him how she feels.
Right now, there are several hints that may signal a comeback for Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan). First, her mom Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis) and ex-husband Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) meet up soon. Official spoilers confirm they have an emotional visit. Most likely, it concerns Lulu. Indeed, she seems to be the topic of discussion that would make them both emotional.
Also, this comes right as Lulu’s daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez), returns to General Hospital. So, one or both of them might take Charlotte to visit her mom in the facility for long-term patients while she is on break from boarding school in Switzerland. Perhaps the reason emotions run high is that Lulu shows signs of improvement and there may be hope for her to awaken soon.
Another reason that it’s perfect timing for Lulu to wake up is because her brother, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson), comes home to Port Charles this summer. No doubt, it appears that everything is lining up for a special Spencer family reunion. With all of the changes coming to GH lately, it’s not unrealistic to consider the possibility that Lulu might resurface. After all, we just got Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) back after nearly three years.
Now, we’ve also got Lucky coming back for what should be a considerable amount of time. Then there’s Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) who is making a guest appearance. Even though it is only for one episode, it is still an exciting return. Also, there is Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) who recently exited after 10 years on General Hospital. Indeed, there are shakeups everywhere, so it’s entirely possible that Lulu could be the next fan favorite returning to the soap.
No doubt, many fans will be ecstatic because she has certainly been gone for too long. Plus, her return could make for a ton of drama, especially for Dante. He’s deeply in love with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and they have built a wonderful life together. However, the return of his ex-wife could threaten their future. GH is full of twists and surprises.
