Sports Fans REJECT WNBA Finals wo Caitlin Clark! NFL & MLB Set To DESTROY Woke Women’s Hoops!
Alright, Black and White Sports supporters, well, in case you didn’t know this (and look, nobody’s going to fault you if you didn’t), the WNBA finals start tonight. And if you didn’t know that, well, therein lies the real issue that the WNBA has. They also have another issue: they have decided to start their finals on the same night as Thursday Night Football between the 49ers and the Seahawks. There’s also postseason baseball, and a lot of people are just coming out and saying it: they ain’t watching. They’re not watching the finals. Plus, no Caitlyn Clark.
Look, I don’t care what the woke media is trying to say right now. “Oh, but the WNBA ratings are so good!” Okay, well, they may be good, but there’s still a million and a half shy or more of one Caitlyn Clark, the Iowa product, being involved in your WNBA finals.
So, they released some propaganda that’s supposed to be celebrating the start of the finals. And well, let’s just say, a lot of people are clowning the WNBA. A lot of people. Plus, fans who are going to watch aren’t happy about the conflict between other sporting events. And that just tells you right there exactly where on the sports totem pole the WNBA ranks. Because from what I can tell, it ranks fourth on the list. Before people even think about watching the Liberty versus the Lynx.
Now, this is supposed to be a powerhouse matchup, right? All these supposed stars are involved. But no, I’m not watching a single millisecond of it. Not a millisecond. Now, look, I’m a Niners fan, so I was watching that no matter what. But, you get my point. If I hadn’t been watching that, then yeah, I’d be watching postseason baseball or probably NCAA football, to be honest. I could not care less about these finals.
So here we go, the WNBA finals tip off with a highly anticipated—are you sure about that?—game one matchup between the Lynx and the Liberty on Thursday night. WNBA ratings and TV viewership skyrocketed in 2024 as long as Caitlyn Clark was involved. That little sentence at the end is so important, because by and large, I mean, the Lynx semifinals were horrific. The ratings were horrific. They couldn’t even sell out their own building.
But on Thursday evening, the league has some serious competition working against it in its championship series. Game one will tip off at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. The NFL’s Thursday Night Football matchup between the 49ers and the Seahawks tips off at 8:15 p.m. Eastern. Good luck. WNBA fans are understandably frustrated by this decision that pits their league against the most powerful TV ratings machine in sports. Several fans took to social media to point out this scheduling issue. Yeah, they’ll likely finish fourth among, you know, NFL, NCAA football, and postseason baseball. And this is the finals of their league.
I’m going to tell you right now: if Caitlyn Clark was in the WNBA finals, the only thing that wouldn’t beat it would be the 49ers-Seahawks game. And that’s just because you’re not defeating the NFL, alright? That’s just all there is to it.
So a lot of people said, “Whoever did the WNBA scheduling needs to be fired.” They could very easily play on Friday night, but instead, game one of the WNBA finals is on Thursday Night Football night. It’s dumb. A lot of people said that kind of thing.
Seriously, the WNBA needs to fix its scheduling for next season. Thursday Night Football and MLB playoffs tonight, starting the WNBA finals during Thursday Night Football is definitely a choice. I mean, seriously, wow. WNBA, who thought it was a good idea to put game one of the finals up against Thursday Night Football?
How can I apply to make next year’s schedule?
Well, they’ve got another problem, alright. Not only do people have a conflict with the scheduling, but this is a problem for Cathy Engelbert. It’s the reply. This is said graphic right here that got released. You see it: WNBA finals begin tonight, Liberty versus Lynx—who you got? Uh, I don’t care. WNBA’s got a problem.
Same graphic. “I’ll be watching postseason baseball.” Uh-oh. “Who you got?” No Caitlyn Clark? Uh, no thanks.
Yeah, same graphic, ass dragging. MLB, NFL, NHL on T-night, we’re not watching that, brother.
Yeah, really? The MLB playoffs are on. Yeah, no, it’s a wrap. I cannot wait to see what the ratings on this look like. I mean, truly. Because the last series at least had the New York fan market versus, you know, Asia Wilson, the MVP of the league. I mean, that Lynx-Sun series drew dog ratings. This could be an embarrassment.
I am willing to bet you right now, there will not be a single finals game that comes close to 2.54 million that Caitlyn Clark drew in her last game of the season for Indiana Fever. Question is, will there be one that even draws half of that? Maybe close to it? I don’t know, but it’s pretty clear that fans are like, uh-uh. I’m not watching that. There are like four things in front of it on the priority sports totem pole.
That’s the league’s problem: doing things like this. How in the world would you schedule this? You know Thursday Night Football is happening. You know NCAA football is on Thursday nights. What in the world was this league thinking?
I mean, seriously, wow. Tell me what you think, Black and White Sports supporters. Fans just rejected, Dikembe Mutombo style. Rest in peace. Rejected the WNBA finals. They’re off to a great start. Peace them out. Until next time. Thanks for watching the show. Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe. Be sure to tune in next time on Black and White Sports.
