Social Media Is In Shock Over Disturbing Photo Showing An Insane Amount Of Bruises On WNBA Star Caitlin Clark

Basketball fans are awfully concerned after a new image showed a disturbing amount of bruises on Indiana Fever rookie star Caitlin Clark.

One of the top stories in sports right now is the amount of hits on Caitlin Clark. The controversy hit another level on Saturday when Chennedy Carter delivered an unnecessary cheap shot on Clark after making a basket in the Fever-Chicago Sky game on Saturday.

Carter was only issued a foul on the court by the officials. But upon further review, the WNBA upgraded it to a flagrant foul, and Sky star Angel Reese was fined $1,000 for not speaking to the media after the game.

The @KinnickNorth23 X/Twitter account posted a photo that shows several bruises on Caitlin Clark’s knees and elbows, another frustrating reminder of how much opposing players are getting away with:

Fans on social media were unhappy with what they saw:

Clark and the Fever got the last laugh against Chicago by squeaking out a 71-70 victory that snapped a three-game losing streak. In that contest, the Iowa product tallied 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

The Fever lost their next game to the New York Liberty on Sunday, dropping them to 2-9 on the season. They’ll return to the court on Friday with a road contest against the Washington Mystics.

Caitlin Clark Has Lived Up To The Hype So Far

The highest scorer in the history of NCAA Division I basketball has not disappointed since turning pro. The 22-year-old is averaging 15.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game through her first 11 contests while shooting 35.7 percent from the field.

2024 was always going to be a growing year for an Indiana team that hasn’t made the postseason since 2016. They were the league’s third-worst team a year ago with a 13-27 record, and it’s clear that there’s plenty of work to do before Indiana re-emerges as a contender.
