NBC Fans Fear ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Cancellation
Law & Order: Organized Crime premiered in 2021, and there were some issues with the NBC show, but is cancellation likely? Three seasons aired so far and then Season 4 premiered in January this year. Could this be the last season of a short-lived series? Read on to find out if fans should worry.
Law & Order Fans Fear Changes
Every time something happens and changes in characters occur on shows, fans become upset. Fans started to wonder if Ice-T was exiting after he made a cryptic post on Twitter. Even worse than big character changes many fans fear cancellation.
Law & Order fans heard that Sam Waterston, (Jack McCoy,) was moving on from the show. Other changes that came in 2021 included Christopher Meloni returning to SVU as Detective Elliot Stabler. These days, Meloni’s the main person behind Organized Crime, but is the show in jeopardy?
NBC Organized Crime Cancellation Looms?
The concern about the possibility that the newest show might end up being canceled arrived after a post by Wolf Entertainment appeared on Twitter. It said:
There are more stories to be told. #SVU, #LawAndOrder, and #OneChicago all return to
@nbc next fall

According to Monsters and Critics, Law & Order: Organized Crime is still “in discussion.” The outlet theorizes that it could be due to “behind-the-scenes issues since its inception and…countless showrunners.”
Commenters on Twitter (X) were surprised, and @Jayhatesports1 said, “I’m surprised Organized Crime is the lowest rated.”
Meanwhile, other NBC drama fans also seemed concerned:
- @abiondo: I hope to hear Organized Crime is renewed soon. It is excellent.
- @Julie__Maguire: What about Law and Order OC
- @JiffyPopCulture: @WolfEnt, I’ve been a #LawAndOrder megafan for decades…and #OrganizedCrime is currently my fave of the trio. Love @Chris_Meloni @DaniMoneTruitt, Ainsley Seiger & the rest of that terrific cast. Whatever you need to do, #RenewOrganizedCrime!! 🥺
- @pretty_garnet: I know you’re saving for last the big announcement RIGHT?
#RenewOC #LawAndOrderOC #OrganizedCrime
What are your thoughts about NBC greenlighting Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU, but seeming hesitant on Organized Crime? Do you think that “in discussion” might mean that NBC considered some changes to the way things work? Or, does it mean fans should expect a cancellation?
