Lindsey Georgoulis from Married at First Sight garnered a big reputation for her even bigger personality, and it’s time to learn a little more about her. She married Mark Maher last summer on MAFS and was completely enamored with him. On the other hand, that didn’t stop Mark from having some reservations, especially when she started butting heads with her castmates on day two. Mark admitted to MAFS: The Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam that he confronted her then and there. Yelling and unnecessary confrontation weren’t what he wanted in a wife. Thankfully, she was receptive to feedback.
Mark and Lindsey had a beautiful wedding and enjoyed getting to know one another. Mark also revealed that they spent hours after the wedding walking the streets of Boston together after venturing out for a snack. There were even some cuddles and more than a few smooches. Lindsey’s dad gave Mark great advice, saying that he would need a lot of patience. When she told the MAFS cast to speak Spanish, Lindsey definitely came off as a”Karen” to fans. However, Lindsey seems to find productive ways to channel her over-the-top personality in her day-to-day life.

According to her LinkedIn, Lindsey worked as a registered nurse and COVID-19 Project Manager during the show. The pandemic needs outgoing, upbeat, and hard-working personalities like Lindsey, who provide help at hospitals. Work appears to be a place where Lindsey thrives. She touts herself as a skilled presenter, educator, and project leader, and positively impacts her work environment. When the then-34-year-old isn’t working, she seems to enjoy looking for new activities and excitement to fill her time. These days, she lives in the Bay Area and works as a Magnet Program Director.

While Lindsey’s Instagram is now defunct, it used to be private. When her bio was active, her bio described her as an “Adventurer/Explorer/Bad A*s/Nurterer/Lover/.” While some might argue there’s some redundancy in that description, her desire to make the most of life (and her big heart) is evident on the show. MAFS‘s Lindsey may not make a great impression, but that’s not her number one concern.
Lindsey also shared a quote in her bio, which is written in Latin. It reads, “Esse Quam Videri.” The phrase translates to “to be rather than to seem.” Lindsey’s showing some self-awareness here. She knows she can seem like a piece of work. However, her priority isn’t what her fans, family, or friends think of her. Instead, she aims to live in the moment and embrace every opportunity to be present.
In recent years, Lindsey has been one of the most exciting cast members to join MAFS. While she may have a tendency to stir the pot, that’s what a great television personality does. Lindsey has also shown Mark and the MAFS audience that she has the capacity to self-reflect and tighten up her act. Even though her Married at First Sight journey didn’t end in love, she’ll continue to be herself and pursue her passions.

Lindsey Has Moved On
Despite Lindsey’s endless energy and quick temper, she and Mark were one of the more compatible couples, right from the start.
But Mark and Lindsey did have a very turbulent ride in Lifetime‘s Married at First Sight season 14. From bowling alley arguments to Lindsey saying that Mark was not a good lover, there were many uncomfortable moments to watch between the two. However, they decided to say yes to each other on Decision Day. But, come the Reunion, the pair reported that they ended things very quickly after Decision Day.
MAFS season 14 in Boston aired from January 2022 to late May 2022, so it was filmed in 2021. Since then, Lindsey has undergone many life changes. She reported during the Reunion that she moved from Boston to the Bay Area in California. She described loving living in California and that she intended to stay there long term. Lindsey has also been lucky in love, as she got engaged to a man named Ray in April 2024. She spoke to People and said that they plan on getting married in the summer of 2025.
Lindsey had a big personality on Married at First Sight season 14, but it made for great entertainment value throughout the season. She was arguably the most talked-about cast member for her controversial behavior and rocky marriage, however, Lindsey meant well. She will go down in Married at First Sight history as a very memorable character.
