Jersey Shore viewers didn’t hold back their criticism of several cast members after witnessing their treatment of Angelina Pivarnick’s fiancé, Vinny Tortorella, during a recent episode of the show’s Family Vacation series.
Dubbed “Vinny 2.0” by both the cast and fans, Angelina’s fiancé made his appearance alongside her at the latest Family Vacation spot in Tucson, Arizona. However, tensions were already high due to Angelina’s ongoing feud with her castmate, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola.
During one scene, Angelina was preparing to join the cast for an outing, prompting Vinny to hang out with her castmates, including Sammi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Deena Cortese, and Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio.
As Vinny entered the room, Sammi made it clear to her castmates that she intended to confront him about Angelina. The ensuing interaction was tense, with both Sammi and Jenni “JWoww” Farley making pointed comments toward Angelina’s fiancé, adding to the drama.
Vinny expressed feeling “caught off guard” by the cast’s remarks, but ultimately stated that he felt “like part of the family” after the interaction.
Viewers took to Reddit to express their disapproval of the cast’s behavior, particularly targeting Sammi and JWoww for their treatment of Angelina’s fiancé.
Commenters described the cast as “extremely rude” and criticized Sammi and JWoww’s behavior as “immature and unnecessary.” Some suggested that Sammi and JWoww have “always been snooty” and speculated that Sammi may have been influenced by her past experiences on the show and her relationship with Ron.
Despite the tension, Angelina’s fiancé and Sammi’s now-fiancé, Justin May, attempted to facilitate a truce between their respective partners. While the women agreed to “agree to disagree,” tensions remained, particularly regarding Angelina’s insistence on discussing her issues with Sammi in public.
Ultimately, although they didn’t resolve their differences entirely, Angelina and Sammi agreed to coexist peacefully during the cast vacation in Arizona.
