I’m Certain David & Michelle Will Be My Favorite Couple Of Married At First Sight Season 18

Married At First Sight season 18 is just around the corner, and the couples have finally been revealed to the public, leaving me hopeful that David and Michelle are a match that will last long beyond the season. Throughout Married at First Sight’s run, there have been some successful MAFS marriages that have proven the experiment is one that can work. On the other hand, there have been couples who have been tenuous at best, proving that there are some matches who look great on paper and suffer in person. Either way, watching the drama of the series is fun.

Married At First Sight season 18 has been one of the most highly anticipated seasons of the series to date, bringing the drama of the series to a whole new peak. With seasons of low success rates leaving MAFS viewers struggling to renew their investment in the show, it’s possible that whether Married At First Sight season 18’s cast winds up finding success with one another or not, the season will go down in MAFS history. The teasers and trailers for the season have made it clear that a cheating scandal will rock the cast of MAFS season 18 hard.

While the cheating scandal and subsequent possible wife-swap sounds like a ton of fun to watch, my personal investment in Married At First Sight comes from watching the couples form genuine relationships. I love the drama, don’t get me wrong, but the relationships that stem from MAFS are always fascinating, whether they last or not. Although there’s typically a lot more struggle in the early days of a MAFS marriage than a standard one, I’m always fascinated to see how the couples choose to grow together or break apart, and MAFS season 18 is no exception, especially for David & Michelle.

The MAFS Season 18 Cast Has Been Released

Married At First Sight season 18’s cast has finally been announced ahead of the exciting matchmaking special and season premiere. The couples of MAFS season 18 are all from the Chicago area, and with such an eclectic group of cast members with a ton of different experiences when it comes to love and relationships, I’m ready to see the partners in action. On paper, the cast members seem to be an excited bunch of singles who simply haven’t found the right person yet. While some have been searching for love, others appear to be have been focused on themselves.

Comprised of ten participants who will make up five couples, Married At First Sight season 18 will bring together the matches for their weddings, where they’ll meet at the end of the altar. Matched up by the panel of Married At First Sight experts, which is comprised of Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Pia Holec, and Pastor Cal Roberson, there were a number of singles who applied for the season and weren’t chosen to be matched. The couples who did make the cut seem to be the most suited for one another, but MAFS season 18 will determine the truth.

MAFS Season 18’s David Is Looking For Lasting Love

As one of the singles who applied to Married At First Sight season 18 in the hopes of finding real, lasting love, David is one of my favorite guys of the season right off the bat. David’s got a fascinating look, with long curly hair and a sleeve of tattoos as well as a beautiful smile that he never seems to be hiding. David, who’s 35 years old, is looking for a relationship that will live up to the expectations he’s had forever. David’s parents have been happily married for decades, and he hopes MAFS will bring him the same.

While David’s relationships in the past haven’t offered the same sense of security that he’s looking for in his Married At First Sight relationship, he’s hopeful that he’ll be able to bring enough to the table to make someone else feel secure with him. As a MAFS season 18 cast member, David is hopeful that he’ll be able to find something that he wouldn’t have anywhere else. His commitment to his future MAFS relationship is already something I admire, and look forward to seeing in action.

Michelle Knows Exactly Who She Is Outside Of MAFS

Although Michelle’s background isn’t necessarily as intensive as David’s, the Married At First season 18 bride has been clear about what she’s looking for in a relationship. Self-assured and ready to move into her MAFS season 18 marriage, Michelle is a confident person who knows what she’s looking for. Outspoken and excited for the experience, Michelle shared that prior to MAFS season 18 she’d been single for six years, choosing to focus on her happiness and not pour herself into a relationship that wasn’t serving her.

At 38 years old, Michelle has lived a life before her time on Married At First Sight, which means she knows more about herself and the things she wants from a partner than some of the younger participants. Hopeful that MAFS will be an experience that will change her life for the better, Michelle’s aware that there’s a topic she’ll likely have to broach quicker than some of the other women on the series: kids. Michelle shared she’d be happy to have kids of her own, but it’s not something she feels she needs in her life to be complete.

I Believe David & Michelle Will Be A Great MAFS Match

Although I know very little about them outside of their physical appearance and their minor bios provided by MAFS, David and Michelle appear like they’d be a very good match. The experts seem to have put David and Michelle together because they seem like they’d connect well, and with both of them making it clear that they’d be happy to move forward in their lives with a relationship that builds them up, I think they’ll work out well. Both mature, older, and moving into the next phase of their lives, David and Michelle could be the best of the season.

While there’s always room for drama, it seems like both David and Michelle have good heads on their shoulders. The pair both shared what they were looking for and in similar fashions, each seemed to be focused on adding to their individual lives without foregoing their independence after MAFS. I think David could be a great source of light to Michelle, and I think Michelle could be a fun spark of spontaneity for David, making them a potentially fun Married At First Sight match.
