General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) grief never leaves her, but she knows that life goes on. Trina has tried to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart after losing Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), but some days are more challenging than others.
It turns out Trina will face a particularly rough one in the July 19 episode.
The latest GH spoilers indicate that Trina will be faced with a difficult reminder of her romantic history with Spencer – and the result will be a grief-driven meltdown.
GH fans know Trina and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) recently moved their belongings into the apartment above the Quartermaine garage.
That led to a ton of unpacked boxes and so many things shifting around.
Josslyn will hand over something important that fell out during the chaos of it all.
When Trina realizes it’s the turtle dove figurine that Spencer once gave her, she’ll lose control of her emotions on the spot.
The sight of that turtle dove will open the floodgates for Trina, so she’ll have a hard time dealing with all the tears and the ache that’s still in her heart.
No matter how hard Trina tries to get a grip and move on, there’s always something there to remind her of Spencer and how much she loved him.
Once Trina’s tears finally dry up, she’ll speak with Josslyn about her relentless waves of mourning.
That’s when Josslyn will admit something that Trina doesn’t really want to hear.
Josslyn has dealt with her fair share of grief – like when she lost Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) and Oscar Nero Quartermaine (Garren Stitt).
As a result, Josslyn will speak from experience when she confesses that losses like that stick with you.
Although the pain can certainly lessen over time, Joss will point out that grief lasts forever in some ways.
Of course, we have to consider whether Spencer might actually be sending Trina a sign.
There’s a good chance Spencer is alive since his body was never found, so maybe it’s significant that the turtle dove is appearing now.
Spencer’s own turtle dove could be seen washing up along the shore after his presumed demise. It offered hope that Spencer perhaps made it to shore, too.
However, there may be a reason why Spencer can’t come back to Trina just yet.
Whether Spencer is in a coma or being held hostage by someone nefarious, he’s apparently not returning to the canvas anytime soon.
This turtle dove sighting might be a message from Spencer in the meantime – even if Trina doesn’t recognize it as one right now.
The show might eventually recast the role of Spencer Cassadine and open the door to a new chapter for “Sprina.”
Trina could get updates on Spencer’s shocking survival once GH is ready to tell that story.
If that happens, Trina may look back on moments like with this turtle dove and see that Spencer was reaching out to her all along!
