General Hospital Spoilers: Kathleen Gati Returns as Liesl Obrecht – GH Star Hints at Port Charles Comeback

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans have certainly been missing Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) since she inexplicably dropped off the map. It was an odd time to shove Liesl aside considering she saved Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) life with bone marrow donation.

Obrecht did the ultimate good deed and then got ignored completely! You’d think grateful Willow would be bonding more with Liesl by now, but that hasn’t materialized onscreen so far.

Fortunately, it sounds like that could change based on some recent posts from Kathleen Gati.

After viewers sent Gati messages on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, she hinted at some exciting news.

“Thank you all for missing me! Stay tuned! You never know just when #LieslObrecht may show up on @GeneralHospital!” Gati said in response.

Kathleen Gati Confirms GH Return of Liesl Obrecht

A couple days later, Gati replied to another post from a fan who asked if we’d be seeing her on GH soon.

“It’s a very good possibility!” Gati exclaimed – and she included a winking face with tongue emoji to indicate that her hint was really more like confirmation.

In other words, Gati wouldn’t come right out and say that Liesl Obrecht’s comeback was in the works, but that’s obviously what she meant.

It won’t be long until Obrecht is back in action, so it’ll be interesting to see what her new scenes look like.

Will Liesl finally get some family bonding time with Willow and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros)?

That’s one option to consider – though it’s also possible Liesl will be around to comfort Nina after everything falls apart!

Nina will be exposed as the SEC snitch this fall, so that won’t go over well with Willow.

It could destroy all the progress Nina’s made in her relationship with her daughter and blow up her relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), too.

Nina may find herself leaning on Liesl in the aftermath – and maybe Obrecht could try to help her make amends with Willow once she’s back in the mix.

Regardless, Kathleen Gati is a beloved cast member for many GH fans, so we look forward to seeing what’s next for Liesl Obrecht!
