He started to face this psychological strain merely before completing the first year of his 12 years sentence. Here is more about it!
Chrisley Knows Best: Todd Chrisley Suffers From Psychological Tension During His Sentence!
The Chrisley Knows Best patriarch and matriarch were found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud in June 2022. The former is charged for 12 years, while the latter was charged with 7 years. And Todd and Julie started their sentence in January 2023, and their families and loved ones have since been throwing light on the couple’s struggles and the inhumane conditions they faced at the federal prison. In one of the episodes from last month in Savannah’s Unlocked podcast, she and Chase, her brother, spoke about their parents. They complained that Todd and Julie are surviving with air conditioning in the scrunching heat.
Additionally, Jay Surgent, Todd’s lawyer, recently shared that he is already dealing with anxiety, stressing about his long sentence. He added that though Chrisley is still energetic, he fears not knowing anything other than his case. Besides this, Surgent mentioned that Todd was even affected by the incoming email and its privacy. He even stated that both Todd and Julie are true believers of God. So, he hopes that the couple be remanded in custody for future hearings, or the ruling must be overturned. Moreover, Jay stated that Toss was frustrated by the slow working of the legal system. He added that Todd hopes he and his wife will be out of prison in some time.
Chrisley Knows Best: Todd’s Hair Has Turned Gray!
The August 1 episode of Savannah Chrisley’s Unlocked podcast featured the communication with Todd and Julie’s attorney, Alex Little. The latter shared that Todd’s aging has sped up during his prison time. She stated that her fifty-four-year-old dad’s hair has turned from blond to grey as he completes his prison sentence. In this conversation, Savannah claimed that his father has not been provided with hair color at the prison. She then added that she would convince her lad to have his grey hair after his return, for she likes his new look. The twenty-five-year-old even declared that his father’s prison barber is good at his work.
Savannah even criticized the reports that stated him to be struggling with his conscience since he started his sentence. Their attorney added that Todd is doing everything nice to be a model prisoner and adjust to the people around him. He added that he is optimistic and will not spoil things there. All these conversations point towards the efforts everyone is putting in to terminate Todd and Julie’s sentence. But everything will take time to fall into place for the Christley family patriarch and matriarch.
