Caitlin Clark Post Game Interview after Fever 100-93 win in Dallas Kelsey Mitchell
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have been playing lights out since the WNBA’s return from the Olympic break. Not only do they own the league’s best record in that time span, but they now have a winning record for the first time in over 5 years. The Fever continued their strong play on Sunday in a 100-93 victory over Arike Ogunbowale and the Dallas Wings, their sixth win in seven games.
Clark and Kelsey Mitchell led the way for Indiana with 28 points and 36, respectively. Following the game, Clark and Mitchell took part in a postgame press conference where one reporter asked the former Iowa standout one of the most bizarre questions you will ever hear.
“Caitlin, after giving the rasat test to those windy city skyscrapers Friday night, what was the biggest winging game you expected to find today in the shindig against these dynamos from Big D?” the reporter said.
Clark’s reaction to the question was unresponsive as she looked around the room for guidance, with a very confused look on her face. In the end, Clark never answered, and the players moved on to the next question. She surely won’t find one more interesting than that, though.
With the win, Clark and the Fever are now 17-16 on the year, and their playoff chances continue to look better. If the season ended today, they would land the sixth seed and a first-round matchup with the Minnesota Lynx. Indiana will have two days off before their next game on Wednesday, September 4th, against Ricky Kia Jackson and the Los Angeles Sparks.
