Michel Morency married Jasmina Outar in Married at First Sight season 14, and it’s time for an update on his life. Married at First Sight season 14 took place in Boston, Massachusetts, and featured the marrying a stranger journeys of five couples. Alyssa Ellman and Chris Collette, Lindsey Georgoulis and Mark Maher, Olajuwon Dickerson and Katina Goode, and Noi Phommasak and Steve Moi each said I do to their partners. However, today only Olajuwon and Katina are still together, and they’ve broken up several times.
“Good person” Alyssa and Chris ended up having the shortest marriage in franchise history at just 12 days. Alyssa checked out on Chris right after the wedding ceremony because she did not find Chris attractive. Surprisingly, in season 14, the remaining four couples all said yes to each other come Decision Day, but several of them had broken up by the time the Reunion was filmed. Michael and Jasmina had an interesting and frustrating time on the show, and their lives are totally different now.
Michael & Jasmina’s MAFS Journey
When Michael and Jasmina met at the altar they seemed to have instant chemistry and attraction, but that dissipated rather quickly once they got to the living together portion of the experiment. The Lifetime pair struggled with communication issues, with Jasmina feeling like Michael didn’t open up to her the way he should. Michael tried to understand where Jasmina was coming from, but they continued to have disconnects with that and the notion of being vulnerable with one another. They barely even kissed or held hands throughout the season. Moreover, Jasmina did not like that Michael had female roommates.
Despite their glaring issues, both parties wanted to stay married and see where they could take things off-camera. Unfortunately, by the time of the Reunion, the pair revealed that they had split due to the lack of a physical connection in their marriage. Their lack of intimacy and Jasmina’s struggles with attraction to Michael were a huge indicator of their mismatching. Jasmina called Michael “not my person,” and the pair were rather cold with one another come the “Where Are They Now?” get together.
Michael Has Had A Physical Transformation
Since his time on Married at First Sight, Michael has undergone a physical transformation. Michael is a Personal Trainer but said he experienced issues keeping the fitness level he wanted, just like everyone else. He made an Instagram post in July 2023 showcasing his physical transformation.
“As a trainer I fall off the wagon too( I’m human) but when it’s time to get back to it the basics are all you need:
1. Caloric Deficit/ Balanced meals
2. Increasing Water Intake
3. Weight/ Resitance Training – 3 times a week min
4. Move more throughout the dayAnd most importantly staying consistent!”
Michael seems proud of himself, and he has one other post dedicated to how far he’s come and the muscle he’s gained.
Michael Has Moved
Michael grew up in the Boston area, and that’s where he was a Personal Trainer as well. However, he has set his sights on a different, sunny weather state.
Michael’s Instagram bio reveals that he has moved from Boston to Florida.
He doesn’t have any posts geotagged there, and it’s unclear exactly when he made the move or if he goes back to Boston to visit often.
Is Michael Dating Anyone?
Married at First Sight season 14 in Boston aired from January to May 2022, which means the experience was more than two years ago for Michael and Jasmina. Michael is not a huge poster on Instagram, and in the posts that he has shared, there have been no mentions or hints at him having a new significant other. Jasmina and Michael do not follow each other on Instagram, signaling discontent between the formerly married couple.
While the Married at First Sight experiment did not end well for Michael and Jasmina, they gave it their best shot. In the end, they were not well-matched for each other, and had differences they could not reconcile. However, they both seem to be living their best lives and in new chapters of their lives, which they would not have gotten to without the help of Married at First Sight.
