Married At First Sight season 17, which wrapped up back in April, saw a completely failed experiment on full display after none of the cast members stayed together. The season before that had only one successful marriage, while Married At First Sight season 15 showed every relationship ending in divorce. Going back further, there are even more divorces.

Pastor Cal posted a video of his appearance on FOX 5 Atlanta with his wife Wendy Roberson to promote their new app called Marriage Ain’t For Punks, which aims to help couples who are looking to get married. The app is technically not available yet, but people who are interested can sign up on the Marriage Ain’t For Punks website. In his Instagram caption, Pastor Cal acknowledged that he and his wife are “huge fans” of “fulfilling marriages.” It brings him immense happiness to see couples accomplish goals together, which is why he and his wife created this app.
In the FOX 5 Atlanta video he posted on Instagram, reporter Alyse Eady asked Pastor Cal and Wendy to give details about their marriage. The couple admitted that they got married within six months of meeting each other. “When you know, you know,” the MAFS expert said. Pastor Cal then divulged that when they first met, Wendy rejected him because he was “arrogant,” but he claimed he was merely “confident.” They soon got over that hurdle and “it’s been great ever since.”

Unfortunately, despite being considered a relationship expert, his track record as part of the team of experts on Married At First Sight is abysmal. Pastor Cal’s app makes it seem like he’s not aware he’s a part of the problem. The experts that Lifetime keeps bringing back are no longer assets to the reality show. Social media reactions back up this viewpoint as well. If relationship after relationship keeps failing on MAFS, then the experts need to be replaced; it’s time for a shakeup.
