Caitlin Clark’s Real Attitude Revealed by Indiana Fever Teammate
While Caitlin Clark is, without a doubt, one of the best players in the WNBA at the moment, the Indiana Fever superstar, at the end of the day, is still just 22 years of age. By her own admission, Clark is still a kid-at-heart, and this shows in the way she just genuinely enjoys playing the game that she loves.
Her teammates could not agree more. Fever guard Erica Wheeler spoke to reporters during practice on Wednesday, September 18, and the veteran came out with an endearing revelation about Clark’s real attitude.
“All we do is have fun with Caitlin Clark who never takes anything serious,” Wheeler said. “I tell people all the time she’s really a kid at heart. … The outside world was really trying to get inside this building we just didn’t let it. Having fun is a great way to kinda keep that out.”
To be fair, Wheeler did say that Clark, along with the rest of the team, know when they need to get serious, and they have no problem flipping the switch, so to speak.
This is exactly the case come playoff time, with the Fever entering the postseason for the first time since 2018. At this point, their opponent in the first round has yet to be determined as the Connecticut Sun and the two-time defending champions Las Vegas Aces continue to battle for the No. 3 seed.
Either of these two teams will pose a serious challenge for Clark and Co., and while you can be sure that they’re still going to enjoy their first playoff experience, the Fever will also do everything in their power to go as far as they can in the postseason.
