However, when Emily took that to mean they were getting closer romantically, Brennan let her know his attraction was still gone, stating it was because Emily was negative and said mean-spirited things.

In the episodes following Decision Day, Emily’s new life as a divorcee was chronicled as she let viewers know that she was going to get away. She was going to reset after all the drama by going to Vietnam with one of her best friends. Emily wanted to endeavor to live her best life and get back to her old self. Brennan was Emily’s first relationship, and since it ended in disaster, she will likely try to process the situation and find clarity on her trip. It’s unclear if that trip already happened because Emily‘s Instagram is private.

The Reunion Will Reveal A Lot
Married at First Sight viewers watched Brennan finally dish out the truth to Emily during a very cringy dinner the pair had. It was a few days before Decision Day, and Brennan set Emily straight on how her behavior came across. He reminded her that she would always say she “hated” things, and that she destroyed Michael Shiakallis and Chloe Brown’s wedding vows by saying they lacked depth (via Access Hollywood.)
“I asked for a positive, positive person,” Brennan told Emily.
Emily was in tears as she announced that she was “the most positive f***ing person.”
As their conversation derailed, Brennan merited himself with saving Emily’s life in the accident.
The entire situation caused a great deal of animosity between the pair that only intensified after Brennan left their shared apartment. On Decision Day, they put each other on blast for trying to attack each other characters and expose each other. During the Reunion, viewers will hear more of this narrative from them.
Is Emily Dating Anyone?
In the aftermath of her marriage, Emily proclaimed she needed time to reflect and work on herself, so it’s unlikely she is dating anyone. Married at First Sight fans can’t know for sure because her Instagram is private. Moreover, she probably is not allowed under her NDA to reveal information about other love life until the Reunion, where she will likely be asked if she is back in the dating world. Emily strived to paint herself as a fun-loving, deeply caring, and positive individual while on the show. It seemed that was for most of the season until Brennan exposed the truth. Toward the end of the season, Emily was also on an Afterparty episode, where she and host Keshia Knight Pulliam got into a spat, with Emily becoming combative and venomous. It’s possible Emily does vocalize a lot of the things she hates, per Brennan’s assessment, which adds to the new narrative that she is not as nice as she seems.
Emily is coming off as a Married at First Sight season 17 villain for her resentment and attitude toward Brennan. More will be revealed about her character during the Reunion. But for now, it doesn’t seem like Emily is the positive person she claims to be despite putting on a nice and sympathetic front all season.
