IS GIBBS BACK?! Mark Harmon’ Return to NCIS is absolutely Possible

The police procedurals on CBS are always good, but NCIS has a different kind of fan love, especialy for the belowed character Mark Harmon.

A number of big case teams with special agents look into crimes that involve the Navy. The first episode of the show aired in September 2003, so it will soon celebrate 2020th anniversary.

Mark Harmon has been on the show since the first season and stayed on as Leroy Jethro Gibbs, a Supervisory Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigation Service.

Mark Harmon left DC and went to Alaska in episode 4 of season 19

The reason Gibbs went to Alaska was for a case, but he chose to stay there instead of going back to Washington. He is known to go with his gut. He also seemed to want to find peace, which he did in the end.

Fans have been waiting ever since for the fearless boss of the agency to come back

And now there seems to be hope! In a recent interview, Rocky Carroll, who plays NCIS Director Leon Vance and works with Harmon, hinted that Gibbs might come back to the show soon.

Carroll also made it clear that the writers handled Gibbs’ temporary exit from the show very carefully, leaving a lot of room for him to come back at any time. But it looks like fans have already accepted that he won’t be on the show anymore.

“I think we would have already seen Gibbs if we were going to. This season, there were plots where he could have come back to help or show up, but he didn’t.

Let’s not forget one thing, though: Gibbs actually wanted his character to die. That makes me think he won’t be back on screen,” Reddit user Karl_Racki said.

Well, let’s hope the writers have something up their sleeves. Maybe a surprise cameo will do the trick?
