Lifetime’s Married at First Sight has shown fans inspiring romances over 16 seasons, but there have also been terrible mismatches, and it’s time to share information about the worst cast members to ever appear on the show. Some series stars wanted nothing to do with their spouses. Whether they were not attracted to their spouses or were still in other relationships while on the series, these contestants infuriated MAFS fans.
While few MAFS couples are still together in 2023, a mismatch doesn’t necessarily denote a terrible person. It’s bizarre and difficult to stay married to a stranger and face life after reality TV fame. However, throughout 16 seasons, there have been cast members who were there for all the wrong reasons. Now, it’s time to reflect on the series’ most disappointing stars.
Chris Williams
Chris Williams seemed to embrace his role as the MAFS season 12 villain. He married Paige Banks without knowing anything about her and even slept with her on the first night but said that he did not feel any attraction to her the following day. To make matters worse, Paige stuck around with Chris even as more red flags appeared, like he was engaged a few weeks before coming on the show. Fans sympathized with Paige, as she agreed to stay by his side after learning that he might become a father to the ex-fiance’s baby. Chris’s constant manipulation of Paige was unforgivable.
Molly Duff
Another villain is Molly Duff from MAFS season 6. She was best known for her awful behavior towards her then-husband, Jon Francetic, who gained support after recording how Molly verbally abused him. It worked out for Jon, as he found love with one of the MAFS experts, Dr. Jessica Griffin. However, it’s difficult to forget how poorly Molly treated Jon during their short marriage.
Luke Cuccurullo
MAFS season 8’s Luke Cuccurullo is one of the worst stars in the show’s history. On the show, he shockingly said he was repulsed (and felt dead inside) after kissing then-wife Kate Sisk. He even told her that to her face, but continued getting intimate. Additionally, Luke accused her of having a drinking problem while he was also drinking heavily at the time.
Alyssa Ellman
Alyssa Ellman starred in MAFS season 14 and has become one of the worst villains on the show, despite not even lasting the entire season. She gaslit her husband, Chris Collette, from the jump to cover up the fact that she was not attracted to him. Alyssa searched for any way out of the relationship but was trying to stay on the show. She even asked to live in the apartment alone to hang out with the other women. Alyssa had several outbursts on Married at First Sight season 14, even calling Chris aggressive when he pointed at something, leading production to try to help her see reason.
